Saxion: Study in Holland for Non Europe Students

Saxion is among the largest Universities of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Our origin dates back to the early 1900s, when our predecessors were established. Nowadays Saxion University has become an important centre of expertise in the region. Our student population reaches approximately 20,000 and is still growing.

Why choose Saxion?

The Saxion campuses are located in the beautiful eastern part of the Netherlands. While life seems a bit more relaxed here, all three Saxion locations have good public transport facilities. The larger cities of Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague lie within a 1.5 hour radius.



Saxion are very proud of the diverse student body. People from over 52 countries choose to study at Saxion. Saxions international student population tops 2,000 students. For many international students, coming to the Netherlands is a very big step. Saxion recognized the need for international students to quickly become part of the social environment. Saxion have therefore invested in setting up a group of host families (Friends of Saxion International Students), who will be available to make Saxions international students feel at home. Saxion history

Saxion predecessors date back to the early 1900s. Saxion University has a rich history and through a merger recently established a strong position in Dutch Higher Education. Saxion offers a broad range of courses at various levels. Education at Saxion is very student-centred.
